Xuzhou Institute of Technology is located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, an important node city in the country’s “Belt and Road Initiative”, a national historical and cultural city, and the central city of the Huaihai Economic Zone. The school began in 1959 and was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002 as a full-time general undergraduate institution.
The school has excellent operating conditions. The campus covers an area of about 2,000 acres and the school building area is 767,200 square meters.
The subject categories are relatively complete, covering eight major disciplines including science, engineering, agriculture, liberal arts, economics, management, education, and art. It has 20 teaching units and 22,300 students. The school is a university implementing the National “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan”, a university constructing the National Industry-Education Integration Development Project, the chairman unit of the China Photovoltaic Engineering Industry-Education Integration Collaborative Innovation Platform, and the executive vice-chairman unit of the National New Undergraduate College Alliance.
